Saving Sharks with Sophi – Blog 7 – World Ocean’s Day!!
My mom read me a story about these blue marbles that people are passing around when someone does something good for water so I got some marbles to pass around for World Ocean Day (June 8).
I gave my class and all my friends and some teachers at my school 2 marbles and some water tips that I wrote. Then, they could have one for keeping and give the other one away.
My water tips are:
- Don’t Waste Water. Turn off the water when you brush your teeth or do the dishes.
- Don’t Litter. The garbage goes into the sewer and then into the rivers, lakes and oceans.
- Use Cold Water. It takes less energy.
I found some World Ocean Day stuff on the computer and it said the question to ask this year was, What is your favorite ocean animal?… mine is the shark!
