Saving Sharks with Sophi – Blog 7 – World Ocean’s Day!!

Blue Marbles for World Oceans Day (Click to Enlarge)

My mom read me a story about these blue marbles that people are passing around when someone does something good for water so I got some marbles to pass around for World Ocean Day (June 8).

I gave my class and all my friends and some teachers at my school 2 marbles and some water tips that I wrote.  Then, they could have one for keeping and give the other one away.

My water tips are:

  1. Don’t Waste Water.  Turn off the water when you brush your teeth or do the dishes.
  2. Don’t Litter.  The garbage goes into the sewer and then into the rivers, lakes and oceans.
  3. Use Cold Water.  It takes less energy.

I found some World Ocean Day stuff on the computer and it said the question to ask this year was, What is your favorite ocean animal?… mine is the shark!
