Blog 23 – “Tagging a Snow White Hammerhead”
Me and my Dad made a snow hammerhead on my deck.
My Dad surprised me by just making the shape with a shovel.
Then he told me to come over and try to figure out what he was making. Once I saw the shape of it, I knew what it was right away!
I put the eyes (green tomatoes) on and then I helped make the dorsal fin and finished all of the other fins. Then we shoveled all of the snow away from it so it looked like it was swimming in water.

Sophi,
This was one of the funnest days I had this year when it snowed on us without notice. It was perfect weather for snowballs, snowmen, and sharks! I think your idea of a hammerhead turned out great! That shark is still on our deck after many weeks. I think it scares the rabbits away.
I come home from work and look at it every day. I liked your idea of making a satellite tag out of sticks to put on the dorsal fin and grabbing my drill out of the garage to play with like you were attaching it. You know how it’s done girl! I know we didn’t get to make a second shark “tiger shark” like you wanted that day, but that will be our next. Can’t wait for the “hot chocolate and shark cookie” stand we are going to have in a couple of weeks. Tell mom that we need to put up a lot of directional signs like we would for a garage sale. -Dad
Great way to practice, on a frozen shark!
